Volunteering at DBCR

Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School welcomes your interest in volunteering!

Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School seeks a volunteer math teacher each afternoon from 2:30-3:30 for a small group of Pre-Algebra students.  Qualified applicants must have a college degree and prior teaching experience.  If interested, please email your resume and cover letter to Dan McCarthy (mccarthyd@dbcr.org)

Volunteer opportunities also exist in:

  • After school Academic Assistance particularly in math and reading (T-Th 3:30-5:00pm)
  • Student mentoring
  • Administrative Support
  • Advancement/Fundraising
  • Athletics (Soccer, Volleyball, Cross Country, Basketball, Track and Field)
  • Driving students to and from work (Mornings 8-9:30 am; Evenings 4:30-6pm)
  • Mini-bus driving for after school activities
  • Special Events (Retreats, Field trips, Dances, Fundraisers, Service Projects)
  • Teaching a weekly elective course, preferably in art, music, drama or dance
  • Teaching a workshop on different skills used in the workplace in the summer workforce training program for incoming freshmen
