The Campaign for Don Bosco Cristo Rey

THE CAMPAIGN FOR DON BOSCO CRISTO REY seeks to raise significant financial support for an extraordinary educational opportunity being offered to low-income youth in the greater Washington, DC area. Don Bosco Cristo Rey is expected to grow from an initial group of 127 students to its full capacity of 500 students by 2012. The total capital and endowment needs to support expansion of the physical plant and provide a proper endowment are extensive.

Towards this end, Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School requests unrestricted capital and endowment funds to remodel and expand its physical plant, and build a stable pool of funds to support its operations in perpetuity.

CAPITAL investments will allow the existing school, which was built as an elementary school, to be remodeled to meet the needs of a college-preparatory high school.

ENDOWMENT income will provide a consistent source of long-term funds for general operations, faculty salaries and benefits, professional development, scholarships, and student enrichment.

The Campaign is being guided by a Campaign Executive Committee, a volunteer body made up of members of the Board of Directors, Don Bosco Cristo Rey staff, and friends of the school.
