The Cristo Rey Network of Schools
The Cristo Rey Network is a growing network of schools dedicated to preparing young people with limited options for college. The Cristo Rey Network achieves its mission through supporting member schools and fostering the sharing of best practices. Cristo Rey Network schools offer an outstanding education, provided by very talented and dedicated teachers. Each school also features a Corporate Work Study Program that funds the majority of each student’s educational costs. Through the work study program, students enhance their education with work experience at law firms, banks, hospitals, and other institutions, and families pay only a fraction of the cost of their child’s education. To date, there are 19 Cristo Rey high schools in the following cities across the United States: Baltimore, MD; Birmingham, AL; Chicago, IL; Cleveland, OH; Denver, CO; East Harlem, NY; Indianapolis, IN; Kansas City, MO; Lawrence, MA; Minneapolis, MN; Newark, NJ; North Cambridge, MA; Omaha, NE; Portland, OR; Sacramento, CA; Tucson, AZ; Washington, DC; Watts, CA; and Waukegan, Illinois.
